Super Intelligence

Sophia was first Robot to be granted the citizenship of a country.

Now a days Artificial intelligence(AI) is one of the most used words.AI is quite old concept and the word was coined in the 1950s.AI was conceptualized by English computer scientist and mathematician Alan Turing.Till now we gave instructions to the computer in form of programs for doing calculations and repeatative work.But now due to advancement in sensors,computing and big data technologies,machines are capable of self learning and making intelligent decisions.Today AI systems are superior to human in many areas.Autonomonous driving,image processing,speech recognition,Google assistant,sponsored ads on internet,robots like Sophia etc are examples of AI systems.

Super Intelligence will be achieved if AI systems become more intelligent than collective intelligence of humans beings.It is predicted that in few decades time AI will be able to reach state of super Intelligence.There are four ways in which we can attain super Intelligence.

1.Electronic:As mentioned above today we have huge amount of data getting generated from internet,social media and sensors.Machines are fed this data and techniques like supervised and unsupervised learning are used to gain intelligence help machines to take their own decisions.

2.Brain emolution:In this technique after the death of a person his or her brain is preserved .Brain is then sliced into thin pieces.These pieces of the brain are then scanned to create a Neural network using computers.Brain of the dead person can be saved as a soft copy which can be used to power a robot.Robot using the software will have the same behavior and intelligence of the person who is already dead.

3.Cyborgs:In this technique electronic devices will be integrated with the human body.Electronic chips will help the body to function efficiently and effectively.Human brain will be connected directly to the internet.I would say technologies like pace makers are earliest examples of our journey towards being cyborgs.

4.Genetic modification:In coming years with the help of genetic engineering people will try to create super humans.The best genes will be separated out and children will be created with desirable features.This techniques will try to make us super intelligent using biological techniques.But this will have many ethical and moral dilemmas.
