African Proverb

Killing a lion with a spear is test of manhood for a Massai warrior

Africa is the second largest continent on earth with a population of more than a billion people. But what makes Africa interesting is that humans evolved first from Africa.Life on earth first evolved close to 4 billion years back.Modern humans evolved from East Africa only around 2 lac years back.Genetic studies have proven that all humans living on earth can trace back their ancestory to the same person who lived  in Africa close to 2 lac years back.So all the fights in name of religion, region and race is utter foolishness as we all have same origin.

Modern humans reached India around 70000-90000 years back .Europe was first inhibited by humans only 40000 years. The Americas only 15000 years back.So most part of human history we lived in Africa as hunter gathers. In the past India had land connection  with Africa. This is evident with the common wildlife we share with Africa.Elephants, lions to name a few, even ostrich was once found in India.Africa has always fascinated me due to its vast bio diversity.

Today I will be sharing my favorite ten African quotes. These quotes represents ancient wisdom humans gathered in plains, jungles and desserts of Africa.

3.If you want to go fast go alone but if you want to go far go together

4.If you marry a monkey for his wealth, then the money goes and the monkey remains as it is

5.Don't look at where you fell, but look at where you slipped

6.A bird which flies of the earth and lands on a anthill is still on the ground
